Who We Are
DATICAN is an NIH-funded project as part of the UE5 grants called DS-I Africa. The focus of DATICAN is to build capacity in Data Science with application in Medical Image Analysis.
Four universities are members of DATICAN. These are:
- University of Chicago
- Lagos State University (LASU)
- University of Ibadan
- Redeemer's University
DATICAN aims to produce many Data Scientists who are well-equipped to conduct medical research aimed at improving healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
The project comprises experts in Data Science, Medical practitioners, Physicists, Mathematicians, Computer Scientists, and other allied fields.
