About DATICAN

DATICAN is an NIH funded project as part of UE5 grants called DS-I Africa.

The focus of DATICAN is to build capacity in Data Science with application in Medical Image Analysis.

Four Universities are members of DATICAN. These are

1. University of Chicago
2. Lagos State University (LASU)
3. University of Ibadan
4. Redeemer's University

DATICAN aims to produce many Data Scientists who are well equipped to conduct medical research tilted towards improving health care delivery in Nigeria.

DATICAN comprises of experts in Data Science, Medical practitioners, Physicists, Mathematicians, Computer scientists and other allied fields.
